FINDING YOUR FEET AND FINISHING THE FIRST PROJECT

Just as every journey has a destination, so too does coding. Sort of. There is some sort of destination, though the next two articles will outline why you never really reach the final end destination.

When you finally get to work with real projects, with time constraints, you will eventually get to the end of it. The feeling of finishing your first project is incomparable to anything. You will only experience it once. Every other project completion thereafter will not be as great as the first one. It will be the one time when you will sleep like a baby, looking forward to the next day. You must really enjoy it when you get to it.

However, there is one danger in completing the first project and that is 'Getting Comfortable'. As much as you ought to enjoy completing a project, you also need to understand that time waits for no man. You need to get down with either enhancing your skills or starting with the next project. The problem with getting comfortable is that it somehow affects your brain. So to avoid any redundancies, you need to keep fine tuning and exercising your brains.

I am not against celebrating or taking time off to rest when you complete a project. What I am saying is, don't get lost in and take too much time. It is very easy to get lost in it and go off imagining how much you could achieve without actually getting down to really doing anything towards getting to that dream. Keep doing your thing. Never be idle for too long.

Happy Coding
